Who We Are
SmartChoice Hub is an independent editorial beauty and skincare review site. We're run by the SmartChoice Hub Editorial Team — a small group of skincare enthusiasts who spend their time researching products, reading ingredient lists and comparing options so you don't have to.
We are not dermatologists, chemists or medical professionals. We don't operate a lab or hold any clinical certifications. What we do is read widely, compare thoroughly and write honestly.

Our goal is simple: help people find skincare products that actually work for them — without the hype, jargon or hidden agendas. We believe that good skincare advice should be accessible, straightforward and free from conflicts of interest.
How We Work
Every product review on SmartChoice Hub is based on publicly available information — ingredient lists, brand claims, user reviews and published research. We compare products side-by-side, highlight the genuine pros and cons and tell you when something isn't worth the money.
We never accept payment from brands in exchange for reviews. Our editorial decisions are made independently.
How We Evaluate Products
Our editorial assessments consider several factors:
- Ingredient quality — We review the full ingredient list (INCI) and note key active ingredients, potential irritants and overall formulation approach.
- Suitability — We identify which skin types and concerns each product is best suited for based on its formulation.
- Value — We consider the price relative to the quantity, ingredient quality and available alternatives.
- User feedback — We read reviews across multiple retailers and platforms to identify common experiences.
- Available evidence — Where relevant, we reference published research on key ingredients to provide context.
We do not conduct laboratory testing. When we describe how a product works, we are summarising publicly available information — not making clinical claims. Where we cannot verify specific product details, we say so transparently rather than guessing.
